![]() You should also be able to check the newly purchased license under Settings -> App Information -> License Tier. Log out of ToneCloud in BIAS FX 2 / Amp 2 Standalone, and log back in to see if the change takes effect. How do I activate my newly purchased license? However, it does not take into account the upgrade pricing.įor example, if you own FX 2 Pro, any bundle that includes FX 2 Pro will be discounted accordingly, but bundles with FX 2 Elite will not be discounted. Why?įor bundles, the prices will be deducted accordingly if you already own any item in the bundle. I’m seeing upgrade pricing for BIAS FX 2 Pro/Elite, but I’m not seeing the same upgrade pricing reflected in the bundles. Bias has a decent amount of effects, Neural has a better amp simulation. There are also very good cheaper versions out there, for example ML Sound Lab. the one I use the most: Neural DSP Plini. To check if the prices you see are already discounted (based on the licenses you currently own), feel free to log out of our website and go back to the store section to see the original price. I have lots of plugins (5 from Neural and the Bias FX) and from all I've got. I own several product licenses, how do I know the upgrade price for me specifically?Īs long as you're logged in, our website will automatically scan for the license(s) you own, and deduct all the prices accordingly. BIAS amp is great on it's own, but really steps it up when you have FX to run with it, since you can use the amps you build in AMP to build a complete rig in FX. Upgrade discount is applicable for BIAS FX 2 & BIAS AMP 2 in the same generation, BIAS FX 1 upgrade to BIAS FX 2, and crossgrade between BIAS FX 2 and BIAS AMP 2. On top of our regular promotion, we offer an extra 20% off upgrade discount for users with our software licenses. *Please note this article only applies to our desktop software products. The quick version is, you can't really ever know the answer to your question with serious precision. This guide will explain everything you need to know about desktop software upgrades. In theory, one company could be better at the mathematical modelling part of the process, and another as servicing and/or choosing the units to be modelled beforehand, and that second part might end up making the bigger difference. ![]() Like some people will prefer to use an amp one way more than another, I've heard musicians prefer different companies models of the same unit. Modelled amps (or any devices) will have a general character that achieves a job for you as a musician/sound engineer. We haven't even looked into mics, location of mics, environment the amp has been mic'd in etc etc. We will always be talking about some kind of approximation. There is no 'one' definitive sound that a model can be absolutely accurate to. So, which one of maybe several options here have been modelled in the first place? We don't know. I've had that opportunity more than once. I used the be retail manager at GAK (large music store in the UK). this is where most of your latency is coming from. The RS cable is using some sort of ASIO software drivers but your internal soundcard is using the Windows WDM/DirectX drivers. ![]() The best way to reduce the latency is to use an audio interface for both input and output. I really hope i got my point across with this question, i don't know how to paraphrase it better since i'm not an english native I don't know if you've ever had the chance to compare multiple examples of older valve (tube) amp with different model/age etc valves (tubes) in them, but there can be significant differences. You have to configure Bias FX or your DAW to use the ASIO drivers. Is the actual "Default Preset" on the Pre/Power Amp and Transformer sections true to what the response and tone of the real amps are? (or at least as close as possible) I don't want a subjective opinion about it, i know that i can tweak the settings however i want to get a different response from the sim, what i want here is an objective answer about it. ![]() The actual settings that make the simulation as accurate as possible to the real deal or should i (for example) bypass the Pre and Post EQ of the Pre-Amp to get a more accurate, "not filtered" tone?: I own bias Fx 2 & AMP 2 Both in Pro versions (so everything is included) It does everything great, from jazz, blues to punk rock, classic rock. Yesterday while playing a random question popped into my mind: " Is the default preset of the pre/power amp and trasformer section accurate to the real amps?" I tweak a lot of settings while i run the plug-in, trying to find the "perfect" tone. I need to check out the effects but the marshalls sound really good to my ears. Softube amp room - one of my new fav plugins. I’m sure there are useable amp tones to be had here but I could not find them. I use Bias Amp 2 software on a regular basis to play guitar through my audio interface. Bias amp/Fx - worth trialing just for the fx. ![]()
